Madonna reveals that she was in a coma for 48 hours and who she believes saved her

Madonna revealed that she was in a coma for 48 hours while in hospital due to a bacterial infection.

The 65-year-old singer was on her “Celebration” tour in Brooklyn, New York, on Saturday night when she opened up about her terrifying health scare in June that landed her in intensive care after lung and kidney failure.

In her speech to the audience, Madonna expressed her gratitude to her friend Shavonne, saying: “There are some very important people in the room tonight who were with me in the hospital. There is a very important woman who dragged me to the hospital.”

“I don’t even remember. I passed out on my bathroom floor and woke up in the ICU… I was in a coma for 48 hours. He saved my life. Thank you, Shavon,” he added.

Madonna believes her teacher saved her

Madonna, who has followed Kabbalah – a mysterious branch of Judaism – since 1996, thanked her teacher who was by her side in the hospital, saying his voice was “the only voice I heard” while she was in a coma.

“The only sound I heard was his voice. She revealed that I heard him say, ‘Shake my hand.’”

Madonna also thanked her children for being by her side in the hospital.

She added: “When I first regained consciousness, I saw my six wonderful children sitting around me – by the way, I was dying to have all my children in one room.”

The “Celebration” world tour was scheduled to begin in mid-July with a North American leg that would include more than 20 cities in the United States and Canada.

She remained in the intensive care unit for several days after contracting what her director declared to be a “severe bacterial infection.”

A report in Radar Online claimed he suffered severe septic shock and was traced back to medications used to treat the overdose.

She is currently on the US leg of her tour and shared behind-the-scenes footage ahead of her concert in Washington on Monday.

Madonna often talks about her health adventure. “My kidneys stopped. I was infected with some bacteria that no one knows about. There is a mortality rate of up to 40%,” she said at her concert in Paris.

“My lungs weren’t working, I wasn’t breathing on my own. “When I woke up I saw all my children around me and I thought this would save me. My children will save me. He added: “I am not the one who saved them.”
