Leon Patitsas is a Greek shipowner, founder and owner of the shipping company Atlas Maritime.
Born in February 1976 in London, he is the son of shipowner Spyridon Batitsa and Marigos Lymos Batitsa, daughter of Captain Leon S. Lymus, and has an older brother, Philemon.
He attended Moraitis, a private school in Athens and studied engineering at Tufts University in Boston, earning a Master of Science degree from MIT.
On June 5, 2010, Patitsas married the model and presenter Marietta Krosala, with whom he has been in a relationship since 2006 and with whom he has three children: Margo, Spyros and Konstantinos. The family lives and works between Athens, London and Miami.
