New mid-range Samsung Galaxy A55 5G and A35 5G with enhanced security features – Samsung

Samsung has announced two new Galaxy A series devices, the Galaxy A55 5G and Galaxy A35 5G, which come with 6.6-inch Super AMOLED displays and Samsung Knox Vault for enhanced security.

Both devices run the latest One UI based on Android 14 and have FHD+ (2220 x 1080 pixels) displays with a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz. Like last year's Galaxy A54, both of Samsung's new mid-range devices benefit from the Vision Booster feature, which adjusts the screen (sets tones) based on ambient light so it's clearly visible no matter the conditions. Compared to the Galaxy A54, the Galaxy A55 5G and A35 5G's display is 0.2 inches (6.6 inches) larger.

Samsung did not mention the platform/processor on which its new devices are based, but according to Android Police, the Galaxy A55 5G has a Samsung Exynos 1480 processor while the Galaxy A35 5G has an Exynos 1380. The Galaxy A55 5G also has a Samsung processor Exynos 1480. It comes with 8 GB or 12 GB of random access memory and 128 GB or 256 GB of storage space, while the Galaxy A35 5G phone comes with 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM and with 128 GB or 256 GB of storage space without the possibility of expansion via MicroSD ( On the contrary, this possibility exists.) For Galaxy A55 5G).

Both devices have three cameras on the back, with a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera shared between the two devices (with support for optical image stabilization, or OIS, and electronic video stabilization, a technology known as VDIS). The difference is in the ultra-wide-angle camera, which in the case of the Galaxy A55 5G relies on a 12-megapixel sensor, while in the case of the Galaxy A35 5G it relies on an 8-megapixel sensor. Another difference appears in the front camera for selfies: the Galaxy A55 5G has a 32-megapixel camera while the Galaxy A35 5G is limited to 13-megapixel. Advanced AI Image Signal Processing (ISP) and night photography are also features found only on the Samsung Galaxy A55 5G.
