With 25 points from Salas and 18 from Compora and Winters taking the chestnuts out of the fire in the second half, Olympiacos beat PAOK 3-2 in Belaya and made it 1-0 in the semi-finals. She needs one more win on Saturday in Rentice to advance to the Women’s Volleyball League Final. In the other semi-final AEK-Panathinaikos 1-3.

Olympiacos came into the match strong and their saves were on fire to take a 4-9 lead. Lambrosi block 6-11, Sala block 7-13, Emanuelido block 8-15, its new block 101-6. PAOK with Ace Caffrey reduced to 12-17, Ace Emanuelidou 13-20, Lambrosi 2 block 15-22 and Compora Attack 18-25. Compora 7 points, Carroll 6, but 6/16 attacks.

In the second set, Vinolio relied on Mertiki and Iliopolou instead of Strandzalis and Fergidu and Kroll improved her performance and PAOK advanced 10-7 with a crushing blow from Caffrey.
