PAS Ioannina – OFI 0-1: He got involved and it’s not a lie!

A problem for PAS Ioannina, as they were defeated in OFI’s Zosimades by 1-0 and are now barely above the danger zone. Larsson scored the goal for Crete, and Iramusbi scored for “Ajax”, who missed important chances, but it remains the tenth match in a row without a win.

OFI managed to withstand the pressure of Pas Ioannina in the final minutes and with Larsson’s goal he came back to win a very important brace in the second round of the final.

For PAS Ioannina, Tsintotas was under the posts with Soria, Eramouspe, Bortagarai and Pelios in defence. Rinestra, Gino and Belmau battled in midfield while Moreira and Pameledes were at the attacking end, with Balan on top.

On the other hand, OFI started with Mandas in goal, Diamantis, Foros and Pasalidis in the defensive trio, while Thorarinsson and Larsson completely owned the team. Berea and Bakix shared the midfield, with Neira in front of them while Deco played up front with Tsilianidis a little further back.

PAS Ioannina started the game well and tried to find stages with some shots that players tried, but OFI had a good first stage on 18 minutes when Diko got a header but the ball went over Tsidota’s goal.

However, the same player, two minutes later, began the goal phase, taking the ball to the sides, making a turn, and putting it on Tsilianidis Larsson, who sent it to the left and with good anticipation made it 1-0 to the Cretans. Pas Ioannina tried to fight back but didn’t make it big, finishing Part 1 with six finals but none at home.

There weren’t many stages in the second half, as Deco threatened with a close-range shot in the 66th minute, but it was saved by the experienced goalkeeper. For his part, Pas Ioannina equalized 1-1 in the 68th minute. After a corner kick, Iramosbi beat Diamantis in the air, his header but it stopped on the crossbar from Manda, while the ball went over the crossbars.

The same player would threaten again with a header in the 82nd minute, when he found himself alone at the far post, but there he found Mandas, who intervened incredibly, and kept clean. Finally to the end, although the home team put pressure on the opposition’s defense, they were unable to reach the net, resulting in a 1-0 defeat.

It is understood that this very result, together with the rest, put PAS on … adventures while OFI kept a safe distance from the danger zone.

best player: Eric Larson. The Swedish defender was the man to score and give his team the win. Very good offensive and defensive performance.

Height: This is where many OFI players come in. Mandas in the home team gave… his presence whenever needed, Pasalidis Balan “put down”, Paquets was excellent in midfield to set up the OFI match while Deco was also good.

Weak link: Claudius Balan. PAS “Cannon” did not make … the noise it should make in a very important match, without threatening Mandas. Eramuspe made more finals as a stopper.

Fatal errorkisa: There was nothing wrong with the game. Perhaps it is the fact that PAS has had a total of 15 finals (!) and none have been home.

hardcore: Tsakalides didn’t make a big mistake, keeping the game and frameworks normal in both cards and bugs.

Gazzetta Fund: OFI got back to winning just in time, having beaten PAS and keeping a safe distance from the danger zone, and looking ready in the next matches to lock one up and… goodnight. PAS Ioannina, on the other hand, entered the playoffs with a safety cushion, but after 0/2 it is now very close to the danger zone, along with the results of the other teams. Now the battle for survival of four teams.
