Peristeri: Two arrested after shooting outside store

Police announced the arrest of two men, aged 26 and 20, who were involved in a shooting outside a health care store in Peristeri early Sunday morning.

According to EL.AS. Both were arrested by OPKE police officers. In Aspropyrgos and charged with attempted murder, violation of the Arms Act and violence against employees.

In particular, tensions escalated when two people inside a health care shop in Peristeri area got into a verbal argument with two others and a 20-year-old man armed outside the shop. Others are involved.

“Today (24-9-2023) they were arrested by OPKE police officers. Aspropyrgos, Attica -2- persons, aged 26 and 20, are accused of attempted murder, violation of the law on weapons and violence against employees.

Specifically, in the morning hours of (24-9-2023), the aforesaid persons were in a health shop in Peristeri area and had a verbal altercation with -2- persons, while tension escalated outside the shop. The 20-year-old used a weapon, injuring others involved.

In the early hours of the morning (24/09), the Emergency Operations Center received a call that there had been a shooting in the Peristeri area, and a little later a hospital in Attica reported that two people had been wounded.

After careful investigations and using information, the said police identified the suspects and brought them to the Peristeri Security Department and identified them as the perpetrators of the said attack.

A watch of great value, a locket, -2- gun casings and -3- coins were found and seized at the scene of the fight.

Those arrested are taken to the office of the competent attorney with a case registered against them.
