A 47-day-old infant – who reportedly slipped from her father’s arms – was seriously injured and recovered hours later in hospital, causing unspeakable tragedy in Thessaloniki.

For this tragic incident, police officers of the Security Directorate of Thessaloniki filed a case of manslaughter against the 24-year-old father.

What did the father argue first?

According to the police, around noon on Saturday, the boy was shifted to an on-call hospital in the city in a critical condition, where he passed away shortly.

The 24-year-old father, who is of Bulgarian descent, called EMS after the child complained of difficulty breathing. However, a subsequent forensic examination revealed the child had brain injuries, ecchymoses and fractures, according to the ELAS statement.
