“AoM: Retold” was developed by six studios: Edge of the World, Forgotten Empires, Tantalus Media, CaptureAge and Virtuos Games. All units and environments will return updated and with completely new animations, thanks to the Bang engine used in Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition.

For the record, Age of Mythology was originally released in 2002 by Ensemble Studios. It's part of the Age of Empires series inspired by ancient Greek, Egyptian and Norse myths and legends, rather than actual historical events. Its gameplay is similar to the main games, but includes special features based around the gods and the overall theme of the game.
