This week, Motorola announced its new Edge 50 series of premium smartphones, which we were able to see at a special presentation of the company in Belgrade.

The series includes the Edge 50 Ultra, Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 fusion models, seeking to redefine expectations for high-end smartphones, while all three devices will be released naturally in our country. The series consists of devices that combine advanced camera technology, modern design and advanced functions, with the aim of providing a balanced experience for users. The first of its kind in technology, the series is Pantone certified for the camera and display, ensuring accurate color rendering and an enhanced viewing experience. At the same time, the company equips all three models with a large amount of memory and storage space, which it says is necessary based on the increased performance of the cameras they include.

Let's see them in detail:

Motorola Edge 50 Ultra

The Motorola edge 50 Ultra is the top model in the series, and impresses not only with its technical features but also with its excellent build quality, using high-quality materials such as vegan leather and real wood, something we have never seen before! It is available in the shade Peach Fuzz, among others, which was chosen as “Color of the Year” by Pantone. The combination of a sandblasted aluminum frame, specially treated Corning Gorilla Glass Victus and IP68 water protection certification ensures the aesthetics and durability of the device.


The edge 50 Ultra features Motorola's most advanced camera system to date, with high-resolution lenses that provide flexibility in composition and detail in the results, regardless of lighting conditions. The optical system of the device initially consists of a 50-megapixel central camera, a 64-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom and 100x Super Zoom, a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens with macro view and a 50-megapixel selfie camera with auto focus. Moto ai technology enhances the capabilities of the camera system, offering features such as an Image Enhancement Engine to automatically optimize settings, Adaptive Stabilization to dynamically adjust video stabilization based on motion, AF Tracking to keep the subject in focus, Dynamic Automatic Shutter Speed ​​Shooting and Long Exposure Shots Creative movement. Additionally, Moto AI technology allows for the creation of custom wallpapers based on the user's clothing patterns or descriptions with written instructions.

The Edge 50 Ultra's 6.67-inch Super HD (1220p) pOLED display delivers vivid colors and 13% higher resolution than the previous generation. Support for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Head Tracking, combined with stereo speakers or Moto Buds+ headphones, ensures a complete audio and visual experience. .


Inside, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor supports all the basic functions of the device, while the 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of storage space of the version that we will also see in Greece, allow it to easily store a huge amount of photos and videos.

A 4,500 mAh battery with 125W TurboPower charging delivers a full day's worth of power in just four minutes of charging, while 50W wireless charging and wireless power sharing add charging flexibility. Motorola Edge 50 Pro

The Motorola edge 50 pro is the first model of the series that will appear in our country, early this week, and it follows the design line of the flagship Motorola phone, with exquisite surfaces, a brushed aluminum frame and options such as vegan leather. The 50MP camera system of the Edge 50 Pro allows you to capture high-quality photos and videos. The main lens has a large f/1.4 aperture (possibly the smallest on the market) for improved low-light performance, while the 10MP telephoto lens with 3x zoom and image stabilization is a rare addition in this category. Users can see clearly from a distance or use Super Zoom to zoom in up to 30x. A 13MP ultra-wide lens and Macro Vision mode for close-up shots round out the options. The 50MP front camera with auto focus technology ensures clear, high-quality selfies.

The camera system includes AI functions such as an image enhancement engine, adaptive stabilization, autofocus tracking and pattern sync. Users can also try out the new long exposure mode creatively.

A 6.7-inch 144Hz pOLED display with Super HD resolution and HDR10+ certification but with lower peak brightness than the Ultra model delivers a cinematic experience. The edge 50 pro supports Dolby Atmos technology for high-resolution sound, while it is integrated with Moto Buds+ headphones as well. Compatible with Dolby Head Tracking, stereo speakers, and Snapdragon Sound technology ensure a reliable wireless connection via Bluetooth.

Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor delivers smooth gaming performance, high frame rates, resolution, and fast file transfers. The device comes with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage with support for 125W TurboPower charging and 50W TurboPower wireless charging.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion

The cheapest model of the three, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, targets a wide range of consumers and offers high-quality features. With vibrant color options like Hot Pink, Marshmallow Blue, and Forest Blue, it suits students and professionals alike, according to Motorola.
The camera system of the edge 50 Fusion ensures great shots with a 50MP Ultra Pixel central camera with a LYT-700C sensor that enables fast, low-noise shots in low-light conditions. Image stabilization (OIS) prevents blur, while advanced focusing technology improves night shots. We still see the presence of a 13-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a Micro Vision function for very close-up shots. The 32MP selfie camera with Quad Pixel technology delivers better low-light performance for high-quality selfies.



This model contains a 6.7-inch pOLED screen (144 Hz refresh rate) that covers the entire front part and provides a cinematic experience, and meets the standards of spectrum, vividness, color accuracy and contrast. With 10-bit color depth and support for over a billion shades, vivid colors and high contrast are guaranteed.

The sound system is Hi-Res certified, while stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support bring out depth, clarity and detail, whether through wired or wireless headphones.

The new headphones incorporate Bose expertise, offering advanced active noise cancellation and audio enhancement technology for high-quality sound on the go. It is compatible with Dolby Head Tracking when connected to the Motorola edge 50 Ultra or edge 50 pro, which supports Dolby Atmos. Dolby Head Tracking dynamically adjusts sound as the user moves their head, providing a more natural and realistic audio experience.
