Intel claims that Arc A770 and A750 GPUs outperform NVIDIA’s RTX 3060 – Intel

In view of the behavior Arc, for desktop GPUs In a few weeks, Intel revealed more details about what we should expect from graphics cards in terms of specifications and performance.

A770, whose cost starts at The 329 dollarsIt has 32 Xe cores, 32 ray tracing units, and a graphics clock of 2100MHz. As for RAM, it will be available in 8GB and 16GB versions, with memory bandwidths of 512GB/s and 560GB/s respectively.

As for the A750, which Intel announced will cost $289, it has 28 Xe cores, 28 ray tracing units, a 2050MHz graphics clock, 8GB of memory, and a memory bandwidth of 512Gbit/s. All three cards, which will be available on October 12, have a total power of 225 watts.

Intel claims that based on its benchmarks, a potential buyer will get more value by purchasing one of the new GPUs instead of NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 3060. It tells us that the A770 offers 42% more return per dollar than the RTX 3060, while the corresponding benchmark in the case of the A750 is 53% more per dollar.

It even claims that in most games tested, the A770’s 16GB configuration offered better ray tracing performance than the similarly priced RTX 3060 (which, to be fair, debuted in early 2021). When it comes to Fortnite, Intel reports that the A770 had 1.56 times better ray tracing performance than the RTX 3060.

Of course Intel will promote its GPUs as better than the competition while we need to see more testing from independent media to get a better picture of the performance of the new GPUs.

Either way, it looks like NVIDIA will face more competition for the GPU front. Only this time, competition is coming from a company whose history is tied to Silicon Valley.
