A new trick for stealing cars using the “closed mirror” method.

A new trick for stealing cars using the “closed mirror” method.

Clever people across Europe have discovered a new trick to steal from motorists, and it's 'astonishing' where no one would expect it.

Vultures continue to use the well-known distraction practice and thus attempt to easily grab drivers' personal belongings.

The note on the IX's rearview mirror and… the distraction

What changes every time is the methodology or if you prefer the trick they use to force the driver out of the car, leaving valuables like a cell phone or wallet exposed.

The new trick invented by thieves is the note on the car mirror. This note is usually placed on the right mirror and in such a way that it is not easily noticed until someone is sitting in the driver's seat.

The note covers the rearview mirror, forcing the driver to get out of the car to remove it. At the same time, the eagle's talons rushed to break into the car and remove things from it, and before the driver realized exactly what had happened, they disappeared.

A closed mirror can also lead to the same result, in which case the driver will need to get out of the car to open it and begin his journey.

How to avoid theft

One easy way to avoid unpleasant things is before getting into the car to do a quick check around to make sure nothing strange or suspicious is going on.

Of course, even if we actually get into the car and then discover that something is going on, we should not leave it, if it is not absolutely necessary.

On the contrary, we should continue our drive and only when we have traveled a long enough distance should we try to open the mirror or remove any note from the car.

It is also an inviolable rule to keep the doors locked even before starting the trip, no matter how short, as incidents of theft of things from cars stopped at traffic lights or in traffic are not rare.
