Huawei’s HarmonyOS runs on an HP computer

A Chinese developer has installed Huawei’s open source HarmonyOS operating system on PC. HarmonyOS 3.2 Beta 3 release Tested on an HP laptopWhich responded accurately to all mouse movements.

According to recent reports, Wang Chenglu (CEO of Shenzhen Kaihong Digital Industry Development) has hinted at the possibility of an official release of HarmonyOS for PC next year.

For those who don’t know, Wang Chenglu joined Huawei in 1998 and served as President of BG’s Consumer Software Division.

But what really caught our attention is that Wang Chenglu recently confirmed that the company will be launching HarmonyOS on PC as well by replying to a Weibo post. A user posted a question on Weibo, “Will there be a PC running HarmonyOS next year?” Wang Qingluo replied with a simple “yes.”

However, it remains to be confirmed when exactly this operating system will be released.

Recent rumors indicate that Microsoft is preparing to release a new operating system called Windows 12. If Huawei releases HarmonyOS, we will see how it performs compared to Windows 12.

A Chinese developer who installed HarmonyOS on an HP laptop reported that it ran smoothly. The developer was also able to customize USB drivers, network port, SATA port, PCIe and other HP devices.

Huawei has launched the HarmonyOS 4.0 operating system, early August. The new operating system brought major design changes as well as new features.
