  • From today, October 10, 2023 until October 16, 2023, declarations of liability are provided to employees regarding suspensions of employment contracts that may relate to the entire month or periods of it.
  • From October 17, 2023 until the end of the month, the suspension notice is effective.

B- For the fur industry

Until December 31, 2023, the procedure for suspending employment contracts of employees in companies operating in the fur industry affected by the consequences of the war in Ukraine, which was implemented from July 2022 until September 2023, is valid on the same terms and conditions in accordance with No. 67806/19-7-2022 (Β́3796). It is stated that Article 1 of 67806/19-7-2022 (Β́3796) KYA titled ““Suspension of employment contracts” stipulates the following:

  • 46.42.11.27 “Wholesale of tanned or processed fur”
  • 46.42.11.29 “Wholesale of clothing, clothing supplies and other articles of fur (except headwear)”
  • 46.42.11.36 “Wholesale of fur clothing accessories (except headwear)”
  • 46.42.11.40 “Wholesale of semi-finished furs”
  • 46.42.11.58 “Wholesale of rough fur (scraps)”,

Starting today, October 10, 2023, the ERGANI information system will be available to companies – employers active in the sector. Fur industry To submit declarations of suspension of employment contracts for their employees for the month of October 2023, as follows:

  • From today, October 10, 2023 until October 16, 2023, corporate liability declarations are filed for employee employment contracts that may relate to the entire month or periods thereof.
  • From October 17, 2023 until the end of the month, the suspension notice is effective.

Allowance of 534 euros: how it is calculated and how it is taxed

It is explained that for employees to receive this benefit, the basic condition is that their employer has placed them on suspension and that they have also submitted the relevant declaration to the ERGANI information system. It is also noted that the allowance of 534 euros corresponds to 30 days, proportional to the days of suspension of their employment contracts and that this is tax-free, non-assignable and non-confiscatable in the hands of the State or third parties, in the event of non-compliance with any general or special provision, not subject to any A deduction, fee or tax, including the special solidarity tax provided for in Article 43a of Law 4172/2013 (A’ 167), is not binding and has not been designated as a deduction on confirmed debts to the Tax Authority and the State in general, municipalities, regions or insurance funds.
