Today, Russian warplanes bombed towns near Idlib, northwestern Syria.
At least nine civilians were killed and scores wounded in an escalation of violence in the last opposition stronghold in Syria, witnesses and rescue workers said.
Market bombings
The fighter jets carried out high-altitude overflights, and air traffic control centers said it was a Sukhoi fighter, while they dropped their bombs on a vegetable market in Jisr al-Saqr.
The market was packed with shopkeepers ahead of Eid al-Fitr, killing at least nine people and injuring 30, according to a volunteer group of White Helmets operating in parts of Syria.
The death toll so far has reached 9 martyrs and more than 30 wounded.
