Meteorologist Kleichos Maroussakis predicts that the winter test will come this weekend, with the main features being a significant drop in temperature, rain and the first snowfall.
A cold wind is blowing from Central Europe, the temperature is close to 8-10 degrees. “Saturday will be a winter-like day for many geographies, but the weather will improve again on Sunday,” he said.
Kallianos: The first snowfall
Meteorologist Yiannis Kallianos talks about the worst weather in the west-northwest parts of the country from Friday 17/11, then the unstable weather will move to the rest of Greece.
In a video he uploaded to Facebook, he said rain would begin in western Greece from Friday and intensify in northern Ionian and Epirus regions late at night. The cause of this bad weather is likely to be a low pressure system from the Balkans. Temperatures will drop in northern Greece, so that the mountains of the northern mainland will also have the first snow.

Winds: Variable 3 to 4 and gusts from the Midwest to 5 Beaufort inland.
