A misunderstanding erupted into a Sunday night beating episode on Philippo Street in the center of Thessaloniki.
According to thestival.gr, a drunk Moroccan man raped a girl in front of a convenience store in Thessaloniki, which is frequented by foreigners.
His partner responded and drunkenly demanded an explanation from the Moroccan. He broke a bottle and attacked him, injuring his arm. The 30-year-old defended himself and removed the Moroccan, protecting his girlfriend. Foreigners gathered in front of the convenience store intervened and beat the Moroccan. Neighbors informed the police.
OPKE police immediately rushed to the scene and handcuffed the cursing and shouting Moroccan. EKAV rescuers administered first aid to the assaulted 30-year-old Greek man and the perpetrator. The victim and her boyfriend went to the police station to file a complaint against Morocco.
