A major acquisition in the supermarket sector. Kritikos has proceeded to acquire 17 Mathioudakis chain stores in Chania, Rethymno and Heraklion.
With the acquisition, another 17 stores of the Mathioudakis supermarket group in Chania, Rethymno and Heraklion will be added to the eight existing Kritikos stores.
The agreement includes the gradual acquisition of stores that will reopen by the end of 2022 under the Kritikos brand, implementing the corporate identity, vision and values of the group and will introduce Kritikos’ premium product offerings such as “Choice my” & “Treasures of Greece”.
This development, which is estimated to increase the group’s expected sales volume by 20 million euros, is part of the company’s strategic development with the aim of being present in every district of Greece to cover the needs of families even in remote villages as well as in Kritikos. It is reported that Andyk Kritikos announced last August the acquisition of the Synergiatomeni Pantopoles SA supermarket group and the inclusion of 52 stores of the group subsidiary in its workforce, in addition to managing the Hellenic Market, Proodos Market, Helios Market and Quick brands, along with their extensive network of constituents. from 300 stores.
