10 minutes before midnight on Saturday (23/9/23) at Racho port, a 29-year-old disabled man fell into the sea in front of his girlfriend and several bystanders.
As recorded by LamiaReport, the young man was walking along the beach with his wife in a wheelchair, as they had been walking for several evenings, when he unexpectedly found himself in the water.
Shouting for help, he immediately fell into the sea and his wife came to his aid, but she was unable to pull him and the cart to the surface and called for help.
A couple from Rachios, who were fishing in the harbor, immediately went into the sea and called for help, and finally, with the participation of one more person, they pulled first the woman and then the 29-year-old from the sea. Old.
However, the young man was unconscious and they immediately started trying to revive him with CPR, which was continued in about 5 minutes by rescuers from EKAV who were on the scene.
Accompanied by a patrol car from AT Stylidas, the ambulance arrived at the health center where resuscitation efforts were continued by medical and nursing staff. The 29-year-old, like a fighter for life, showed he could do it and was taken back by ambulance and taken by patrol car to Lamia Hospital for mechanical assistance.
