The events of the exciting film take place at Hamburg Airport, where an alarm was sounded on Saturday night due to an armed intrusion into a car on the runway. Reinforced police forces cordoned off the area and were negotiating with the gunman to force him to surrender.
According to Bild newspaper, the car crashed into the gate barrier and entered the airport runway, where the gunman fired into the air and threw two Molotov cocktails.
The operation of the airport was suspended, while the gunman stopped the car near a Turkish Airlines plane. Police sources say he is holding his 4-year-old daughter hostage in the car. The mother had called the police earlier and reported the child’s kidnapping.
German media reported that the gunman was a 35-year-old man of Turkish origin from the state of Lower Saxony. He allegedly had a custody dispute with the child’s mother and kidnapped the little girl on Saturday afternoon.
