On Thursday morning (25/1) just after 11:00, a serious traffic accident occurred in Attiki Odos.
According to the first information, a car driver made a U-turn and moved against the traffic at the Korobi toll plaza in Attiki Odos, resulting in a head-on collision with another vehicle which was about 2 kilometers away from the toll plaza.
Fire engines and an ambulance rushed to the scene as the 89-year-old driver of the car that made the U-turn appeared to be injured.
Long delays are expected
Due to a traffic accident, the left lanes of Coropio Toll Road are closed.
From the acceleration lane at X/Th 46.6 of the Attica road, 2 kilometers before the Korobi toll road, vehicular traffic is directed only in the direction of Elefsina.
“Traffic road towards Elefsina, left lanes closed at Korobi toll height. Long delays are expected,” Atiki Odos said with his post.
